April Showers...

April showers bring May flowers, but what do May flowers bring??? OK, the joke punchline is "pilgrims", but in this case it is summer! It is hard to believe that we are in our final grading period of the school year; the final chance for each of these fourth graders to shine! So much is going on in the lives of your students right now, baseball games, soccer practice, band concerts, tough classes, dance recitals, church activities, piano recitals, scouting events, gymnastics recitals and competitions, the list goes on and on. With spring comes many activities, and for some, spring brings spring fever. Spring fever is that feeling of not wanting to study and do the best that you can... but this is not the time to quit! Parents, roll up your sleeves, dig in deep, and encourage your child to do the best they can do and be the best they can be for the next two months... in the end, it will pay off. Encourage them and lift them up, remind them of their strengths on and off the ball field, and continue to instill in them a strong work ethic. And be thankful for them; we have been reminded of just how short life can be - be thankful for the children that bless your lives...

I WOULD LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU!

I have discovered that blogging can be a great way to keep others up-to-date on what is going on in my classroom, but is also a great way to get insights from others. I have a few blogs that I follow personally, and always find myself led to leave comments that may provide insight, ideas, or encouragement to the posters. I encourage you, the reader, to do the same for me. As you read, post a comment and let me know what you think. If you don't want me to post it to my blog, just ask and I will respect your wishes. However, the more I hear from you, the more I am able to understand the thoughts of the readers. Looking forward to hearing from you!
